High Pressure / High Flow Decommissioning Plugs
Project Description
IK Subsea designed and supplied five high-pressure, high-flow decommissioning plugs for a subsea decommissioning project.
These plugs played a crucial role in the flushing and decommissioning of multiple 6” flow lines within the field, situated at a water depth of 800 meters. Notably, all operations were conducted seamlessly by an ROV.
Featuring a class 4 torque bucket for the setting operation, these plugs were meticulously engineered to handle both external and internal pressures, specifically 80 bar and 270 bar.
The plugs were equipped with a 2” receptacle and stabs to facilitate the flushing operation. Additionally, blind/dummy stabs were included for effective sealing after the completion of the flushing process.
