Project Description
IK Subsea supplied a remote-operated and ROV-guided milling tool employed in the re-machining of the flange sealing surface on a thruster support flange during the FPSO Foinaven Aft Thruster Replacement Project.
This tool played a vital role in refurbishing the thruster flange surface, addressing scratches and minor damage incurred during the thruster replacement operation. Notably, the tool was remotely operated, controlled, and monitored from the FPSO.
Deployment of the tool was facilitated through ROV, and it was pulled in with the assistance of three strand jacks employed for the thruster installation.
